"I've always admired the erotic photography of the early 20th century. The aesthetic has very little to do with the "perfect body" and everything to do with mood, suggestion, and flirtation. ... I'm talking about the nude, or lightly veiled nude, that evokes mystery, glamour, romance, and the coyer side of flirtation. Finding the right contemporary photographer to recreate that aesthetic is a challenge. Makeup, lighting, and props were essential, but the key was a photographer who could do 2 things: capture the best of an average female body in such a way that imperfections were irrelevant, and put an average woman at ease in front of the camera with her clothes off. My session with Eric was entirely professional--and quite a bit of fun. My final proofs were wonderful to see, and I was proud to present my fiancee with a print as a special gift. Why did I do this? When I'm 80 years old, I want to remember that I was beautiful." - K. G.
